New Jerusalem Interpretive Rendering
developed as part of preliminary study for World Cultural
Center Concept Presentation
This is my artistic Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 21. The scope called for a truely visionary
'city of tomorrow' where all peoples could live in harmonious community. The only inspirational
pictures I could think of for this were the Biblical concepts of Eden [Genesis 2: 8] and the Holy City on
Mount Zion [ Psalm 48], and the New Jerusalem described in Revelation! II Corintians 12: 4 indeed
cautions us that divine concepts may be beyond speaking or comprehension so this must be viewed
as an artistic venture into the unknown. Nonetheless, many great utopian visions begin with some attempt
to 'flesh out' the great visions of divinely ordained order restored to the world we inhabit. To these I
add my feeble effort as well. Such visions can be instructive in analysis of how the desired results might look.
