The 'Ghost Bear' as Seen in the Varnish Reflection
This panel originally featured a more intimate view of White Oak Falls in Shenandoah National Park. It was repainted at
the owner's request to the present scene. The bear in the original scene was painted over but can be seen when afternoon
sunlight reflects in the varnish [if you stand close to the window directly opposite this particular section of the painting].
